Aims and Objectives
Encouraging British Bangladeshi's to pursue higher education,
entrepreneurship, professional excellence and economic independence.
Identifying and rewarding excellence and achievement in the
Bangladeshi community in Rochdale.
Creating a professional support network and providing a forum
for young British Bangladeshi professionals to gather, exchange
views and share experiences.
Establishing links with educational and professional organisations
in Bangladesh, and with organisations that highlight key issues affecting
the economic and social well being of Bangladeshi community in the
United Kingdom.
Organising social educational programmes for young people who act
as mentors to young Bangladeshi's.
Encourage young people to engage in social and community activity.
Best Achievers Awards Programme
The best achievers award will be an incentive scheme to encourage
young Bangladeshi students to improve performance levels in education
attainment. It will be a voluntary scheme initiated by RBPN.
The awards will be aiming at targeting final year students in further
and
higher education establishments, secondary schools and mother tongue
Bangla schools.
Awards will be given to high achievers in both the male and female
categories in the levels of education highlighted below.
A Panel from RBPN will judge the nominations and the awards will be
presented at an annual education seminar/careers convention.
Nomination categories are GCSE, NVQ Level 2, A-Level, Degree/Diploma
(HND) and Bangla School.
By developing this Best Achiever Award Programme (BAAP),RBPN will
provide educational and career development support and promote the
importance of educational achievement in our community.
