OBYA

The Oldham Bangladeshi Youth Association (OBYA) is a voluntary community organisation that fights social exclusion and promotes inclusion by organising social and cultural events and activities; sports facilities such as coaching and tournaments; by providing basic IT courses for the local community in partnership with local training providers; activities to empower and involve women, especially young women; and many other community-based activities.

GMBA

The Greater Manchester Bangladeshi Association supports persons primarily those of Bangladeshi origin in conditions of need, hardship or distress, in association with local authorities, voluntary organisations, providing advice and information and taking measures against unsociable activities and other related matters, particularly among the new generation and help them to acquire meaningful skills.

The Asian News is the Guardian Media Group's first publication specifically aimed at an ethnic minority audience. The paper carries news and feature articles of interest to the conurbation's Asian communities.
It is a monthly pick-up newspaper with a circulation of 20,000. The public obtain copies via some 200 distribution points.
